About Seema
As an educator, I am dedicated to fostering a love for language and literature among my students. My teaching philosophy centres around creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel empowered to express themselves and develop their language skills with confidence.
Having taught English at the secondary school level, I have gained valuable insights into the curriculum and the diverse needs of students. I am adept at tailoring my teaching methods to suit individual learning styles, ensuring that each student receives the attention and guidance they require to thrive academically.
Throughout my career, I have designed and implemented innovative lesson plans that incorporate interactive activities, multimedia resources, and real-world applications of English. By encouraging open discussions and critical thinking, I aim to inspire a deeper appreciation for literature and language.
In addition to my teaching experience, I hold an English literature and journalism degree from De Montfort University. This formal education has equipped me with a solid foundation in English language and literature, enabling me to instil in my students not only a command of the language but also an understanding of its cultural and historical significance.
Furthermore, I am a patient and empathetic tutor, committed to supporting my students' progress and celebrating their achievements. I believe in fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking risks in their language development.

As an English teacher, my primary goal is to create an engaging and supportive learning environment where students can enhance their language skills, build confidence, and develop a love for the English language.
I believe in a student-centred approach, tailoring my lessons to meet the individual needs and learning styles of each student. I strive to make my classes interactive and participative, encouraging open discussions, critical thinking, and creativity. I often incorporate multimedia resources, real-life examples, and interactive activities to make the learning experience enjoyable and effective. Additionally, I focus on the four essential language skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking, to ensure comprehensive language development.
The typical length of my English lessons is one hour. However, I am flexible and can adjust the duration according to the student's requirements and attention span, especially for younger learners.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and a PGCE in Secondary English. I have been tutoring English for three years, working with students of various ages and proficiency levels. My teaching experience spans both traditional classroom settings and one-on-one tutoring, allowing me to adapt my strategies and address the specific needs of each student.
My lessons are designed for students of all levels, . Whether the student is a beginner seeking to improve basic language skills or an advanced learner aiming to enhance their proficiency, I can customise the lessons accordingly. I have experience in secondary education and teaching students from ages 11-16.
