About Aanchal
To my future students,
I am someone whose love for the English language and literature has never been confined to examinations or grades. For me, every poem, novel, and play is a conversation across time—an invitation to understand humanity, emotions, history, and ourselves. My academic journey at Miranda House, combined with my passion for literature and language, has taught me that English is not merely a subject to be studied but an experience to be lived.
I teach because I believe knowledge becomes meaningful only when it is shared. My goal is not just to help you score well, but to help you discover the beauty of words, think critically, question deeply, and express yourself with confidence. Together, we will move beyond summaries and grammar rules to explore the essence of literature, where every line carries a world of meaning.
As Dead Poets Society beautifully reminds us:
"We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion."
That is the spirit I hope to bring into every class—because when you truly understand English, you don't just learn a language; you learn to understand people, ideas, and yourself.
