About Mikeila

I am a university student studying towards a BA degree in English and History. I am passionate about the language, it holds great complexity and beauty. Teaching comes naturally to me, I enjoy educating, debating and sharing ideas with my students. I assure you my lessons will be both fun and insightful. I pay attention to details and aim towards ensuring my students meet their aims and ambitions. Each of my lessons will be structured according to your needs and learning styles. I can help you not only improve your English capabilities but also associated aspects of study such as study methods, public speaking and creative writing.

About the lesson

I am a level 5 certified TEFL teacher, I aim towards creating a learning environment that cultivates creativity, ensures students feel comfortable enough to make mistakes and learn from them. I use visual aids, audios and reading material to enhance skills and the variety of work material allows students to expand their capabilities. My lessons are based and curated around the students' needs and focus on ensuring they achieve their goals. I strive to ensure each lesson is fun, interactive and students retain what was taught. I use weekly quizzes to establish how well the lessons are going as well as fun constructive exercises such as speeches/presentations, essay writing and dialogs. I use the PPP method of teaching English as I feel this method works best in ensuring students learn the language skills in a sustainable and efficient manner.
