About Natalie
I am an English Masters graduate with experience in copywriting who loves literature and getting others excited about reading. I believe reading is a gift everyone should be able to enjoy and am passionate about helping others of all ages to find joy in literature. In addition to my qualifications, I regularly attend literary events, study and write book reviews in my spare time. I can teach students at GCSE and A-level and I am also happy to teach adults looking to get more out of literature or get back into reading. My sessions are usually an hour long however I'm happy to adapt if needed. I have a warm and friendly approach and aim to make learning enjoyable and fun.

I believe that every student is an individual with their own unique tastes and preferences for learning, therefore my lessons are tailored to the needs of each pupil while adhering to the curriculum. This means the format of my 1 hour lessons is flexible depending on the individual's goals. I can support GCSE and A-level students, as well as individuals who are looking to get back into reading or get more meaning out of books. I ensure comprehension through the use of exam board questions, as well as asking students to playback what they have learnt in each lesson and encouraging the use of day journals. I can also support students with personal statements for those in the process of applying to universities. I also believe that reading for leisure is essential to fostering a lifelong love of literature and try to encourage my students to read a little of their own material each week outside of class. I have undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in English literature and language, covering Old English to present day across a range of genres, as well as experience working with archives. In addition to my qualifications, I have over 10 years' experience in commercial copywriting and continue to study in my spare time.
