About Stephanie

Being myself a speaker of many languages (French, English, Spanish, and Portuguese), I understand the passion and the interest of learning something new and discovering different cultures. I also know the difficulties we can face while learning. I believe this is what makes me a great teacher.

I have been teaching English in high school for a year and I am currently doing my TESOL certification, with specializations with young learner and English for businesses.

I am very attentive to my students need, reactions, difficulties and I can adapt quickly. I hope to help you get confident in speaking a new language and make your learning process fun :) !

About the lesson

My lessons are adapted to my students' goal and interests. The main goal is to have fun while learning.

A typical lesson plan will include oral communication and reading or listening comprehension through different activities (reading short text, listening to music, watching short videos, discussions about different topics).

Grammar and vocabulary review are done within those activities and through exercises and homework if the student wishes to continue the process at home.

Depending of your goal, we can also include some writing.

Who can I help?

-Kids and teenagers: I have been working mostly with teenagers having learning disabilities or language difficulties. It is easy for me to adapt to my student abilities and needs.

-Professionals: I had the chance to do human resources management and international studies. I worked both in Latin America and Canada, using French, English, and Spanish in my day-to-day activities. I can help you develop professional skills (business related vocabulary, prepare for interviews, etc.) in a target language.

All this knowledge gives me the chance to help you make links with your native language through discussions and activities related to your interests :)!
