Hi! I’m Vince Ortiz, a high school English teacher with 14 years of experience and a Master’s in Education. I love literature, reading, and writing, and my goal is to help students discover the joy and power of language. My lessons are scaffolded, clear, and student-focused, designed to help learners of all styles and abilities build confidence step by step. About My Lessons My lessons are carefully scaffolded, logically sequenced, and straightforward, designed to help each student build skills step by step. I focus on making literature and writing accessible and engaging, whether we are analyzing texts, improving comprehension, or practicing written expression. I enjoy helping students discover the joy of reading and the power of language, while providing the structure and guidance that ensures learning is clear and achievable. Lessons are adapted to meet the needs of all learners, including those who benefit from extra support or differentiated instruction. My goal is to create a positive, encouraging learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions, explore ideas, and grow as readers and writers.
