About Leonardo

My name is Leonardo, and I'm currently completing my degree to become a certified English teacher — a process that has given me solid grounding in teaching methodology, lesson planning, and how people actually learn a language (not just how to speak it). Alongside my studies, I've built real experience tutoring students directly, which keeps my approach practical rather than purely theoretical.

I take this seriously as a profession, not a side gig — I show up prepared for every lesson, I follow up on your progress, and I adapt my approach when something isn't working for you. Communication, patience, and clarity are things I care about a lot, since I know how frustrating it can be to learn a language with a teacher who doesn't explain things in a way that clicks.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is practical and personalized — before anything else, I get to know your current level and your goals, whether that's passing an exam, gaining confidence to speak, or improving grammar for school. From there, every lesson is built around you, not a generic textbook chapter.

A typical lesson starts with a quick warm-up (reviewing what we covered last time), moves into the main topic — grammar, vocabulary, conversation, or exam practice depending on your goal — and ends with hands-on practice, like speaking exercises or short written tasks. I also send light homework so progress continues between sessions.

What sets me apart is that I'm currently completing my degree to become a certified English teacher, so my lessons are grounded in real teaching methodology, not just fluency in the language. I combine that formal training with hands-on tutoring experience, which means I know how to explain things clearly, adapt when something isn't clicking, and keep lessons engaging rather than repetitive.

These lessons are for everyone — kids and teens needing school support, adults wanting to speak more confidently, and students preparing for exams like Cambridge or IELTS. Whatever your level, we'll build a plan that actually fits it.
