About

I am an experienced English educator with over 12 years of teaching experience, specializing in English language education, journalism, and multimedia. I hold master's units in English language education and a TESOL certification, allowing me to effectively teach both native and non-native English speakers. Throughout my career, I have taught senior high school and college-level courses at institutions such as De La Salle University, Philippine Normal University. Beyond the classroom, I have taken on leadership roles as a Debate Society Mentor, Social Media Elective Instructor, and research qualitative and quantitative research professor. Tutorials My experience extends to virtual teaching, curriculum development, and standardized test preparation, making me adaptable to both traditional and online learning environments. I also have a strong background in journalism, filmmaking, photography, and digital media, which allows me to integrate creative and technological elements into my teaching. I am passionate about fostering critical thinking, communication skills, and cultural awareness in my students. My goal is to create an engaging learning environment where students feel motivated to excel academically and personally.

About the lesson

As a tutor, my approach is student-centered, adaptive, and engaging. I believe that learning should be interactive and tailored to each student's unique needs, strengths, and learning styles. My goal is to not only help students understand the subject matter but also to develop their confidence, critical thinking skills, and love for learning. I begin by assessing the student's current knowledge and identifying any gaps in understanding. I then tailor my teaching strategies, using a mix of explanations, real-life examples, multimedia resources, and practice exercises to reinforce concepts. I also encourage active participation through questioning, discussions, and problem-solving activities to ensure deeper comprehension. To make learning more engaging, I integrate technology, storytelling, and real-world applications, especially when teaching subjects like English, writing, and multimedia. For students preparing for standardized tests or academic writing, I provide structured guidance, feedback, and techniques to enhance their skills. Beyond academic instruction, I act as a mentor, fostering a growth mindset and encouraging students to take ownership of their learning. By creating a supportive and motivating environment, I help students develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed both academically and in real-life applications.
