About Timothy
My name is Tim Connors and I love teaching. I appreciate the challenge everyone faces when they learn something new and I continue to learn new things to remind myself that I am not only a teacher, but a student. Indeed, everyone is a student. We never stop learning!
Some of the things I've learned to do: I like to run and practice yoga, I read constantly (and quickly!), I'm a writer who is currently working on a novel and has three short stories published, I've lived abroad for several years, I can speak Thai fluently, and I embrace any adventures that come my way. Let's learn together!

First, I try to learn about my students so that I can shape my lesson according to their needs. Next, I think about their needs when planning the lesson: what skills to target and what our goals should be. I then approach the tutoring session with a process mindset that reminds students success does not come immediately, but if they work on their skills, success will come. I also provide a relaxing atmosphere that keeps students on task, but also allows students to make mistakes, ask questions, and effectively learn material. I've learned this philosophy from my successful experiences at a variety of companies and schools, teaching and tutoring English reading, writing, and English as a second language to children from as young as five years old to college aged adults.
The typical length of a lesson is one hour and my lessons can be curtailed for any age or skill levels.
