About Pik Qi
My name is Pik Qi. I am Malaysian. I am multilingual. I can speak Cantonese, Mandarin, Malay, English, and some basic Japanese. I studied in the United States and worked in New York for almost two years. After that, I went to work as an ESL teacher in China. I taught in an international school in China for 6 years. I just quit my job a few months ago because of the COVID situation in China and started teaching online in Malaysia. I have students in China and Singapore now. I am passionate about teaching English and I would say that I have some cards up my sleeves as a teacher because I am exposed to various cultures. I am well-traveled and I love learning more about different cultures. I hope you do too!

I love using interesting materials to teach, such as textbooks published by National Geographic. I believe that English opens a whole new world for people who are willing to learn. As a teacher, I am different from others because I am exposed to different cultures in different nations, with a wide array of learning styles.
