Hello! My name is Stacy Griffin, and I am passionate about helping students discover that learning can be both empowering and enjoyable. With a background as a former English teacher and now as a Holistic NeuroGrowth Learning Success Coach, I bring together proven teaching strategies and cutting-edge brain-based learning techniques to support every student’s unique journey. I specialize in teaching students how to learn—not just what to learn. My Approach as a Tutor
Teaching Method & Techniques
I believe learning should be empowering, not overwhelming. My method blends wholistic neurogrowth strategies with practical skill-building so that students don’t just memorize information—they learn how to learn. I use interactive discussions, guided practice, and brain-based techniques to help students engage deeply with material, strengthen critical thinking, and build confidence. I also weave in mind mastery tools to help learners overcome fear, anxiety, or self-doubt, creating a safe and encouraging space for growth.
A Typical Lesson Plan
Each lesson is designed with three core parts:
Warm-Up & Mindset Shift – A quick activity or reflection to activate focus, ease anxiety, and set the tone for success.
Core Learning Session – A structured exploration of skills or content (reading strategies, writing techniques, study skills, or subject-specific topics). I use real-life examples, analogies, and student-centered exercises that meet learners where they are.
Integration & Application – Students practice what they’ve learned in a personalized way (e.g., applying a writing skill to their own project, trying out a study technique on their current coursework). Lessons end with reflection, so students leave with clarity and confidence.
