About Faith
My name is Faith Tjatji from South Africa.
I choose to be in teaching for various reasons. Here are a few common motivations:
1. Passion for Knowledge: I have a deep passion for a specific subject area or multiple disciplines and want to share my knowledge and expertise with others. Teaching will allow me to inspire and want educate others on their favourite topics.
2. Impacting Lives: Teaching will provide a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students. I have the ability to shape and influence the future generation, helping students develop skills, gain knowledge, and cultivate their potential.
3. Love for Learning: Teaching will allow me to continually learn and grow in my own knowledge and understanding. It provides an environment of continuous learning, where I can explore new ideas, engage in professional development, and stay up-to-date with current research and practices.
4. Making a Difference: I have a strong desire to make a difference in my community or society as a whole. I strive to create a supportive and nurturing learning environment, address social issues, promote inclusivity, and help students reach their full potential.

When it comes to convincing students that my lessons are unique and valuable in teaching essay writing, spelling words, and reading properly, here are a few strategies i will implement:
1. Engage their interests: Find unique and relevant examples, topics, or activities related to essay writing, spelling, and reading that align with my students' interests. By incorporating subjects or themes that they enjoy or are curious about, i can make the lessons more engaging and captivating.
2. Showcase the benefits: Clearly communicate the benefits and practical applications of mastering essay writing, spelling, and reading skills. Emphasize how these skills can help students excel in various areas of their academic, personal, and professional lives. Highlight success stories or examples of individuals who have achieved great things by being proficient in these areas.
3. Use interactive and hands-on approaches: Incorporate interactive and hands-on activities into my lessons to make them more engaging and memorable. For essay writing, encourage group discussions, debates, or creative writing exercises. For spelling, consider using games, puzzles, or mnemonic techniques. And for reading, encourage group reading, drama performances, or book clubs to make it a collaborative and enjoyable experience.
4. Provide personalized feedback and support: Offer individualized attention and feedback to each student's progress. Provide constructive feedback on their essays, spelling quizzes, and reading skills, as well as specific strategies to improve. This personal touch shows that I value each student's growth and progress.
5. Use technology and multimedia: Incorporate technology tools, educational apps, and multimedia resources to enhance your lessons. Interactive learning platforms, educational websites, videos, and audio materials can add an element of excitement and help students visualise concepts and ideas more effectively.
