About Sukriti

I am a third-year B.Tech student, so I went through what you are going through not too long ago.

Every single year, I remember thinking that whatever I was studying at that moment was the hardest thing I would ever face. And every single year, I looked back and thought: why did I struggle so much with that? I had the time. I just took it for granted.

Now my days are genuinely packed. Back then I only thought they were packed, and I wasted most of the free time I actually had. That is the part I would change if I could.

So I keep my sessions to one focused hour, and I use all of it. No filler, no time spent copying notes you could have copied alone. One hour, one thing, taught properly, so the rest of your day stays yours.

English matters more than most students believe while they are studying it. Every exam in every subject is graded on how clearly you explain what you know. I have watched people who understood a topic perfectly lose marks purely because the answer came out tangled. That is a fixable problem, and it is one of the most valuable things I can help with.

I have been helping my friends with their writing for years without thinking of it as teaching. Enough of them told me I should do this seriously that I finally listened. I do not know whether I am too early or too late to be starting. I just decided to start.

If you are struggling right now, I promise it is smaller than it feels. It usually is.

About the lesson

Most students lose marks in English for reasons that have nothing to do with intelligence. They know the answer but cannot structure it. They write long sentences that collapse halfway. They have memorised that "had" is past perfect without ever understanding what past perfect is for. So my first session is diagnostic: a short piece of writing and a comprehension passage, which tells me far more than any test score does.

A typical hour runs in four parts. Ten minutes reviewing the previous piece of writing, marking only the patterns rather than every single error. Twenty minutes on one concept : what it is, why English needs it, and what changes when you use it. Twenty-five minutes where the student writes or answers while I stay quiet, because writing improves by writing, not by watching. Five minutes where they explain the rule back to me in their own words.
And best of all, I will personally state anecdotes where learning this concept has helped me in daily life and in later stages of life.
