About Kie

Hi! I’m Your Tutor
Hi everyone! My name is Kiara, and I’m so excited to be your tutor!
I believe learning doesn’t have to be stressful or boring. My goal is to make every lesson a safe, fun and comfortable space where you can ask questions, make mistakes and learn at your own pace. There is no such thing as a “silly” question — if you don’t understand something, we’ll simply try a different way until it makes sense.
I’ll help you with your schoolwork, homework, revision, test preparation and any subjects or topics you may be struggling with. I especially enjoy helping learners build confidence in Afrikaans, but I’m happy to support you across your other primary-school subjects too.
During our lessons, we’ll work together, practise what you’ve learned and celebrate your progress along the way. My biggest goal is not only to help you improve your marks, but to help you feel confident in yourself and your abilities.
I can’t wait to meet you and start learning together!

About the lesson

I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit each learner’s individual needs, learning pace and personality. My goal is to create a comfortable and encouraging environment where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes and improving without feeling pressured.
I offer patient, interactive and personalised lessons, with a strong focus on understanding concepts rather than simply memorising work. I use explanations, examples, activities, revision and practice questions to help students build both their knowledge and confidence.
I am able to teach in English and Afrikaans, and I particularly enjoy helping students who may need additional support with Afrikaans. I offer tutoring across a range of primary-school subjects, including homework assistance, test and exam preparation, revision and general academic support.
A typical lesson will begin by identifying what the student already understands and where they are struggling. We will then work through the difficult areas step-by-step, practise together and finish by checking their understanding. I aim to make every lesson productive, positive and suited to the individual learner.
My lessons are mainly aimed at primary-school learners, from learners who need a little extra support to those who want to strengthen their marks and prepare more confidently for tests and exams. My approach is patient, supportive and focused on helping every student reach their full potential.
