About Jada
Hello! My name is Jada, and I am a dedicated English tutor with a 3.9 GPA and over ten years of poetry and writing experience. I have a passion for helping students develop confidence in reading, writing, and expressing themselves, whether they are in elementary, middle, or high school.
I take a patient and personalized approach, tailoring lessons to each student’s grade level, learning style, and goals. My teaching combines solid academic strategies—like grammar, essay structure, and reading comprehension—with creative techniques from my experience as a poet, so students not only succeed in school but also grow as thoughtful, expressive writers.

My teaching approach is patient, encouraging, and age-appropriate. I adjust my methods based on each student’s grade level, learning style, and confidence with English. For younger students, I focus on building strong reading, vocabulary, and sentence-writing foundations through guided practice and positive reinforcement. For middle and high school students, I incorporate structured strategies for grammar, paragraph development, essays, and literary analysis, while also using creative techniques from my decade of poetry experience to help students express ideas clearly and confidently.
A Typical Lesson Plan
Each lesson begins with a brief check-in to assess the student’s goals, assignments, or current challenges. We then review key concepts using examples that match the student’s grade level. Lessons may include reading practice, grammar exercises, brainstorming ideas, outlining, drafting, or revising written work. I make lessons interactive and supportive, and I always end with clear feedback and simple take-home strategies so students can continue improving between sessions.
