About Lisha
I’m a Master’s graduate in Communications with a background in journalism and corporate writing. I began my career as a TV journalist covering business and finance, and later transitioned into corporate communications where I developed strategies and content for major organizations. My strong command of the English language, paired with real-world writing experience, gives me a unique edge in helping students improve not just their grammar or vocabulary - but also their clarity, confidence, and communication style. As a mother, I bring patience, empathy, and a nurturing spirit into every lesson. I understand that every student learns differently, and I tailor my teaching approach to suit each individual’s pace, strengths, and goals. Whether it’s improving school grades, preparing for exams, or simply becoming more fluent and confident in English, I strive to create a safe, engaging, and encouraging environment. My Teaching Style: I take a warm, student-first approach to tutoring - shaped by my experience as a communications professional and as a mother. I believe that learning happens best when students feel supported, heard, and engaged, so I prioritize creating a safe and encouraging environment in every lesson. My Teaching Methodology & Techniques: My teaching style is customized to suit each student’s learning needs and goals. I focus on building a strong foundation in grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension, while using real-world examples to make English practical and relevant. For conversational fluency, I guide students through topic-based discussions, pronunciation practice, and vocabulary building. For writing and academic support, I help students organize their thoughts clearly and confidently through structured writing exercises and personalized feedback. Lesson Length: Most lessons are 60 minutes long, which I’ve found is the ideal time to stay focused while making meaningful progress. However, this can be adjusted based on age, goals, or specific needs. Qualifications & Experience: I hold a Master’s degree in Communications and have a professional background as a TV journalist and corporate communications specialist. I’ve written extensively for both news and business audiences, and now enjoy applying those skills to help others communicate effectively in English. Who I Teach: My lessons are suitable for learners of all ages and levels - from kindergarten students building up their English foundation, to primary and secondary school students preparing for exams.
