About Jeffrey
I’m an English tutor who genuinely loves language and enjoys helping students discover how awesome it can be. With a background in professional writing, a TEFL certification, and even co-founding the UCT Writers Club, I bring a mix of skill and enthusiasm to every lesson. I’ve worked with kids in relaxed, informal learning spaces, so I know how to keep things engaging, supportive, and pressure-free. I adapt my teaching to each student, focus on building confidence, and make even the tricky parts of English feel understandable.

I believe that the best learning happens when students feel ownership over the process, so my lessons are fundamentally student-led. I focus on building confidence, encouraging curiosity, and showing learners why English is an exciting and powerful subject. Whether we are working on grammar, writing, reading, or communication skills, I aim to create lessons that are engaging, relevant, and genuinely enjoyable. The goal is not only to improve results but to help students understand and appreciate the value of English in their everyday lives.
