About Mara
I have been a tutor and inspiring educator since I was a teenager. As a big sister, I would hold "summer school" for my younger siblings, focusing on their interests and how to grow their math and reading skills. Since I have become an adult, I have worked with my nearby public school systems to grow students with learning disabilities and students who have been left behind due to family situations. I work with students to pave their own path of success through fostering a relationship with personal interests and education standards.

My lessons compare media, such as music and movies, to provide a blank canvas for comprehension, which we then apply to text. My lessons are personalized for those third grade and above.
