About Keya
I’m a dedicated guitar tutor with over a decade of experience teaching and mentoring students. I hold a Graduate Certificate in Advanced Guitar Studies. My teaching focuses heavily on advanced ear training. Transcribing solos is a central part of my lessons. It develops precision and deep musical awareness. I also help students learn to identify chord progressions without written music. This strengthens improvisation and composition skills. For committed learners, I provide structured perfect pitch development techniques. The work is focused and detailed. I keep lessons practical and goal-oriented. Strong ears lead to confident musicians. That belief shapes every lesson.

My teaching methodology focuses on helping guitar students express themselves through original songwriting. I believe creativity grows when supported by clear musical structure. In lessons, technique and rhythm are always connected to expression. I teach songwriting directly on the guitar so ideas stay practical and playable. We explore chord progressions and how they shape mood and direction. This builds musical confidence. I also guide students through lyrical composition, focusing on simple language and strong ideas. Lyrics should feel natural and honest. Acoustic arranging is an important part of my approach. We work on shaping songs with balance and flow. I support expressive players and those driven to write original material. I push students to trust their creative instincts. Ideas are respected and refined. Students gain confidence by finishing songs. We craft musical stories together.
