About Farah
I am a seasoned academic with over 23 years of experience in higher education, specializing in Biochemistry, Life Sciences, and Health Sciences. My career encompasses teaching, research, and academic quality assurance, with a strong emphasis on strategic teaching and enhancing learning objectives. My research interests focus on protein misfolding in neurodegenerative diseases, molecular chaperones, and the application of bioinformatics and computational biology. I have mentored numerous undergraduate and postgraduate students. Proficient in a broad range of biochemical techniques, I have an extensive publication record and have played a key role in organizing and participating in academic events. My teaching repertoire includes Basic, Medical, and Clinical Biochemistry, Endocrinology, Molecular Biology, Molecular Genetics, Biotechnology, and Computational Biology. I am continually dedicated to advancing excellence in education, research, and academic leadership.

My Teaching approach is student centric which involves explanation, interaction and group discussions that foster a more engaging environment. I employ blended technique combining conventional teaching, visual aids and problem-solving sessions that enhances critical thinking. Regular assessments in the form of quizzes, assignments and instant feedback ensures continuous improvement and understanding.
Each lesson starts with a quick overview of previous material followed by outlining learning objectives of the new lesson. I ensure that the learning outcomes as specified in the course specification are met at the end of the lesson. Engaging in interactive sessions and problem-solving exercises help imbibing the concepts well. Time is reserved for clearing doubts and addressing queries and going back to the complex biochemical concepts that need repetition.
