About Sofia
I hold a Master’s degree in guitar performance from the University of Ottawa. I am also a Suzuki certified teacher with 10 years of experience teaching classical guitar. During my musical career I have attended and participated in many masterclasses by renowned guitarists. With each of these masterclasses have come valuable lessons and experiences. I have also been a first place award winner at the OMFA North York and Peel Music Festivals in Ontario.

I offer guitar lessons to adults as well as kids starting from the age of 6. My lessons incorporate technical development, musicality, music notation reading, and theory. I employ different methods and repertoire based on each student’s needs, including the Suzuki method as well as more traditional methods.
It is my belief that the student must enjoy the learning process in order to thrive. For this reason, my goal is to make the lessons productive as well as enjoyable!
