About Glynn
My teaching style is expressed by using tangible, real world objects and processes to explain complex technical functions and abstractions. I developed this style over many years through my work as a Web Designer, Developer and Webmaster for clients and users. After some time, I found that I was receiving a consistently positive response and praise for my way of teaching and was increasingly being called back for tutoring alone.
I have over 15 years experience in general IT including Microsoft Office, Windows 95-10 and many other more specialist applications. My Web Design experience spans 11 years and includes building responsive websites to a very customized level. Technologies include: HTML, CSS, WordPress and Bootstrap. Other skills areas include: data backup, data rescue, operating system re-installation and home network fault diagnosis.
When working as a Webmaster for a large medical recruitment company, I successfully guided contractors to implement new, specialized online application. I used a combination of Skype video calling and Illustrator graphics to simplify the explanation of some complex technical procedures. Occasionally, I would also use PowerPoint to great effect.
