About Romina

¡Hola! My name is Romina and I am a native Spanish speaker from Argentina. I am highly reliable and professional and I love working closely with my students to help them succeed in their learning goals. I graduated with two degrees in Psychology and this knowledge and experience have proved a great advantage in my current job as a tutor. I have strong communication skills and patience and I enjoy encouraging a love of learning a second language and sharing aspects of my own culture. I have been teaching Spanish to children and adults since I moved to London 5 years ago, but I was also able to teach in several schools and language centres for several years in New York, as well as working as an interpreter and translator. I have extensive experience teaching children in different settings (primary level, after school clubs, private and small group lessons). I have also taught adults seeking to learn the language for different reasons, such as work, travel, personal challenge or to be able to communicate with a family member. I can help with exam preparation as well and I am able to adjust my method to different needs and learning styles (IB, GCSE and A-levels). I am always looking for new resources to include in my lessons and I carefully plan each one according to my students' interests and needs. Thanks to my experience teaching children, I learned the importance of having a playful approach and I try to make every lesson fun, engaging and meaningful.
