About Greta

Hello everyone! My name is Greta and I am passionate about languages, learning cultures, and traveling! I believe in the beauty of diversity and empowerment through knowledge. Learning a different language opens doors to other worlds we never knew existed! I have been a teacher for four years in the public school system teaching Middle school, and I am a current English as a second language teacher for the New York Yankees here in Tampa. I have tutored students from ages 5-25 before and after school on school subjects, as well as languages.

I welcome the opportunity to share my enthusiasm with you and help you learn!

My Master's degree is in Teaching English as a Second Language with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction. I also have a TEFL certificate for teaching abroad. Being once an ESL student at the age of 5, I understand the process of learning a second language for the purpose of work or living in a new country. I believe in learning a language to be able to functionally use it in daily settings. It can be challenging, but I am confident I can make the experience much brighter and effective for you!

Spanish is my native language and it continues to be the language I use at home and Italian is a language I have learned during the few years I lived in Italy. I continue to use the languages daily for communication with friends and family, and I have experience translating for both languages.

About the lesson

I believe in learning a language to be able to speak it and apply it in real daily situations!
