About Georgiana

Hi, I’m Georgiana, a passionate and creative tutor about to start my Primary School Teacher Training! I have a degree in Illustration and Animation, where I specialised in children’s picture books, and a Master’s in Publishing, focusing on children’s books and their impact on education and learning. I want to teach because I believe in the power of stories and creativity to inspire young minds and unlock a child’s potential. Helping children build confidence and a love of learning is something I’m hugely passionate about. My background gives me insight into how visual and literary tools can support children’s development. I offer friendly, professional tutoring tailored to each child’s needs. Whether your child needs support with reading, writing, SATs preparation, or just a confidence boost, I will provide creative, engaging lessons designed to make learning enjoyable and effective!

About the lesson

As a future primary teacher, my teaching methodology is built on encouragement, patience, and personalised learning. My goal is to create a positive, calm environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing their confidence! I use an interactive style, combining structured tasks with games, visuals, and active questioning to keep lessons engaging. I also like to incorporate creative activities, such as storytelling, drawing, or themed challenges, to help bring learning to life and make sessions memorable! Whether we’re strengthening core skills in maths, building fluency in reading, or preparing for SATs or 11+, I always aim to make learning fun, focused, and rewarding! Lesson Format: Typical length: 45 to 60 minutes (depending on age and focus) Lessons will include... - A brief warm-up activity - A main teaching task or set of exercises - A recap and short review! My qualifications & experience: - About to begin my Primary PGCE/teacher training in September. - Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum and SATs expectations. Who are my lessons for? Primary school pupils: Years 1 to 6 Support with: - Phonics, spelling, writing and comprehension - Number work, reasoning, and problem-solving - SATs preparation - Building general academic confidence
