Let's face it, language learning can be hard and it can be scary. I get it. I have done it myself in learning two foreign languages. I promise you it doesn't have to be that way. I am here to guide you in a way that feels comfortable and exciting. This is a professional classroom but that doesn't mean we can't have fun as you learn and grow your skills. My approach to teaching is personal in that I believe a student learning another language needs much encouragement and the freedom to be comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. I believe the greatest gift a teacher can give is to allow the student to grow using many techniques that involve active participation and the eliciting of response. We will use all the tools available to us in this age of the internet.
A typical lesson is 45 minutes. Following the introduction of the subject and some explanation of the expectations will spend the next 40 minutes on skills such as listening, speaking, comprehension and writing. Each lesson will build on the lessons before it.
Lessons are available for young adults and adults who have personal desire to strengthen their English skills whether for work or personal reasons. I do also specialize in Business English, Banking, in particular.
Whether you are a beginner or wanting to hone the skills you have I am the tutor you need to help you meet your goals. I have had language instruction myself and I understand what it is like to be a language student. I've learned what works and what doesn't work.
