About Amanda
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and English Studies. I have been tutoring students for more than five years and can provide references if needed. I realise that each child learns at a different pace and I adapt my teaching methods accordingly. However, I also try to make my lessons as interesting and fun as possible. If children are interested in what they are learning, they tend to perform better.

I try to get the student to participate and to think about what he/she is learning. For example, if covering a specific poem, I will ask a question based on the overall meaning of the poem, but will tweak it to make it more personal for the student.
