About Meno

I always aim to support my students in reaching their language goals by creating a learning experience that truly fits how they learn best. To do this, I design and craft custom lesson materials tailored specifically to your unique needs, interests, and objectives.

Because everyone learns differently, I closely observe how you process each lesson—adjusting the difficulty or adapting our approach whenever something feels too challenging or not engaging enough. My priority is to keep your progress moving forward in a way that feels natural, effective, and empowering.

About the lesson

I practice the 80/20 Student Talk Time rule, which means you’ll be doing most of the talking in our sessions while I guide, listen, and coach. I focus on creating a supportive space where you can speak freely without the fear of making mistakes. When errors do come up, I give feedback gently and directly so you learn the right phrasing right away without ever losing your confidence.

In a typical lesson, we focus directly on what you want to achieve. If you want to build everyday fluency, we’ll dive into topic or article discussions using guided questions to spark natural conversation while I catch errors and suggest native phrasing in real time. For IELTS preparation, our time is a focused mix of strategy breakdowns, skill-building drills, and live mock tests so you learn how to handle every section with precision.

What really sets me apart as a tutor is that I'm a warm yet sharp conversationalist. I don't just listen to catch your grammar slips—I actively listen to the stories and ideas you share. Beyond my 5+ years of ESL and IELTS coaching experience, my background in competitive public speaking and journalism gives me a unique edge in teaching you how to organize your thoughts quickly, express yourself clearly, and handle high-pressure tasks with ease.

My personalized lessons are built for intermediate to advanced learners who want to boost their vocabulary, refine their phrasing, and feel truly confident in English. They're also specially designed for IELTS candidates who feel stuck at a Band 5 or 6 in Writing or find themselves getting tongue-tied during Speaking Part 2 and need proven strategies to cross that Band 7+ threshold.
