About Bongi
My name is Bongi Nhlapo from Johannesburg, Gauteng Province. Teaching is my first career and my greatest passion in life. Have 24 years of teaching experience. Obtained a Bachelor of Pedagogics from the University of Fort Hare. Majored in English, Xhosa, History and Education. Also acquired certificates on TEFL Universal (Teach English as Foreign Language Abroad), Project Management and Computer Courses.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE:
Taught English Language from Grade 10-12 and History from Grade 11 and 12. Worked with All Saints and Zingisa Projects on a part-time basis in the afternoon. Projects were to help Grade 10-12 learners achieve better results. Worked also on a part-time basis during evenings with the Department of Higher Education for working adults who wanted to further and improve their studies. During my teaching years I worked as a Level 1 teacher, later Head of Department for Languages and Humanities. Later became the Deputy Principal of the school.
