I am a native English speaker, born and raised in New York City. I have a Master's degree from The Ohio State University, Bachelor's from Howard University, and ESL teaching certificate for the state of NC. I also hold a TESOL certificate from the American TESOL Institute.

My teaching method is often Total Physical Response. I try to engage students as much as possible and I find when I am animated with facial expressions and gestures they can relate and begin to feel more comfortable. My approach is inviting, fun and encouraging. I celebrate the small successes and make everyone feel welcome. I use video clips and pictures to get my students involved, this often encourages dialogue and decreases inhibitions.
