About Archita

Teaching is a passion that extends far beyond just the sharing of knowledge for me. It's about inspiring curiosity, fostering a love for learning, and helping students discover their potential. The moment when a student grasps a challenging concept, the spark of understanding in their eyes, is incredibly rewarding. Moreover, I genuinely believe that education is a transformative tool. As an engineer, I have seen firsthand how the principles of mathematics and the eloquence of language can shape the world. By teaching these subjects, I hope to empower my students to not just excel academically, but also to apply their knowledge to make meaningful contributions to society. What motivates me most about teaching is the opportunity to make a positive impact on a young person's life. Even small improvements in understanding or boosts in confidence can change a student's perspective towards learning, and it is immensely gratifying to facilitate such growth. Finally, I love the challenge that teaching brings. Each student is unique, and adapting my approach to suit different learning styles keeps me on my toes and ensures my own continuous learning. The dynamism and unpredictability of teaching make it a truly fulfilling profession. In conclusion, my desire to teach stems from my love for learning, the joy of sharing knowledge, the satisfaction of making a positive difference in students' lives, and the challenge and continuous learning the profession brings.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is fundamentally student-centred, focusing on understanding the individual learning styles and needs of each student. I believe in fostering an environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking. My lessons usually span over 60-90 minutes, a duration I've found to be optimal for effective learning without causing unnecessary fatigue. With a background in engineering, I've developed strong analytical and mathematical skills. But my true passion lies in teaching. I've spent over five years tutoring students from primary school to A-Level, enhancing their understanding of Maths and English. My comprehensive experience allows me to tailor my teaching methods to cater to diverse age groups and academic levels. In a typical lesson, I start with a brief review of the previous session, followed by introducing new concepts or chapters. I employ a mix of hands-on exercises, discussions, and quizzes to ensure the student not only understands the topic but can apply the knowledge in different contexts. I also provide homework to reinforce their learning. One of my core beliefs as a tutor is that learning is not just about passing exams but about developing a holistic understanding of the subject. Therefore, while I ensure my students are well-prepared for their tests, I also encourage them to see the larger picture, connecting what they learn to real-world applications. I am confident that this approach helps students develop a genuine interest in the subjects, making learning a joy rather than a chore.
