About Jane
"Teaching Romance languages has become a quiet habit after 13 years in the classroom. I admit that I prefer the structure of grammar over the chaos of conversation, but the results speak for themselves.
Holding a BA European Languages from ANU, I have guided many students through the complexities of Spanish nuances. I focus on travel Spanish, exam preparation for DELE, and reading comprehension. Developing accent and intonation remains a priority alongside building conversational fluency.
We explore cultural context, vocabulary building, and the differences between Latin American and Castilian variants. I drill verb conjugation and idioms to ensure you handle these expressions with clarity. My approach remains calm and methodical to keep your stress levels low during these sessions."

"Starting our first session involves a direct assessment of your current grasp of the Spanish language. I evaluate your speaking, writing, listening, and cultural knowledge to build a baseline.
Drawing on my BA European Languages from ANU, I apply a structured framework to our work. We use recorded listening drills for daily practice as a core component of this process. Grammar and syntax receive significant attention throughout our 8 hours of dedicated study time.
I help you navigate complex verb conjugations and specific idiomatic phrases. You will find that these sessions are grounded in 13 years of consistent teaching practice. We move through the syllabus steadily while focusing on your specific gaps. This setup keeps the material manageable and prevents any sudden overwhelm."
