About Silas
My interest in Excel began through working with data systems and seeing how spreadsheets can turn messy information into meaningful insight. I earned a B.Tech in Information Systems, which gave me a strong foundation in digital tools, organisation, and analytical thinking. Over 7 years of teaching and tutoring, I have helped students and professionals develop practical Excel skills that improve both confidence and productivity.
I focus on teaching Excel in a clear and supportive way. I believe learners succeed when they understand why tools work, not when they memorise random commands. My sessions emphasise structure, accuracy, and problem-solving, whether a student is learning basic formulae or building advanced reports. I enjoy helping learners feel capable in environments where data and organisation matter.
Beyond tutoring, I stay updated through new Excel features, business analytics trends, and productivity methods. Teaching Excel is rewarding because it gives students immediate, useful results in their lives. Watching someone go from confusion to competence in spreadsheets is always satisfying, and I aim to make that growth feel achievable and encouraging for every learner.

Excel is one of the most powerful tools for organising information, analysing data, and improving professional efficiency. In my lessons, students learn Excel in a practical and structured way, focusing on real skills that apply to work, study, and everyday problem-solving. I help learners understand not only which formulae to use, but also how to think clearly about data, structure, and accuracy. Lessons are friendly, supportive, and designed to make Excel feel approachable rather than overwhelming.
Each session is customised to the learner’s level. Beginners start with spreadsheet basics, formatting, simple calculations, and building confidence with rows, columns, and clean layouts. Intermediate learners explore functions like IF, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, charts, and data validation for smarter workflows. Advanced learners work with pivot tables, dashboards, automation ideas, and business-style reporting that strengthens analytical ability. Step-by-step practice is always included, so students build skill through doing, not just watching.
Excel lessons often create a strong sense of empowerment. Students begin to realise they can manage complex data with calm structure and clear tools. Many feel more confident in academic projects, office tasks, or personal organisation. My goal is to help learners become independent, efficient, and comfortable using Excel as a valuable real-world skill.
