About Addilyn
I developed my interest in Excel when I realized how much easier it makes data organization and everyday work. This interest encouraged me to complete a Diploma in Data Applications and eventually begin teaching Excel professionally. Over the past five years, I have worked with learners who needed Excel for academic use, personal projects, or work-related tasks. I enjoy creating a calm and supportive learning environment where students feel free to experiment and ask questions. Throughout my teaching experience, I have worked with students of all skill levels—from complete beginners to learners preparing for more advanced data tasks. I focus on making every feature understandable by breaking concepts into simple steps and using examples that students can relate to. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is seeing learners become more confident and independent as they realize they can do much more with Excel than they initially imagined. Outside of teaching, I continue to improve my skills by exploring new Excel techniques, working on small data projects, and staying informed about digital tools. These experiences allow me to bring practical and updated knowledge into each lesson. I approach every session with patience, clarity, and a genuine desire to help students succeed and feel empowered with their new skills.

My Excel lessons begin with the fundamentals—entering data, formatting cells, organizing tables, and using simple formulas. I teach these skills in a slow, structured manner so that even complete beginners can follow along comfortably. Students learn how to navigate the interface, manage worksheets, and perform basic calculations, giving them a strong foundation for more advanced features later. The goal at this stage is to build familiarity and confidence.
As students progress, we focus on intermediate features such as logical functions, lookup formulas, conditional formatting, filters, and multi-sheet organization. Each topic is broken into small steps, and I provide clear examples to show how these tools are used in real situations. Students learn how to handle data more efficiently, interpret results clearly, and design spreadsheets that are both neat and functional. This middle stage helps learners develop strong practical skills.
For advanced learners, I introduce pivot tables, data validation systems, dashboards, and more complex formulas. Through guided exercises and real-world tasks, students practice structuring datasets, automating repetitive tasks, and creating visually clear summaries. These lessons empower learners to use Excel with confidence for school, work, or personal projects. I aim to make Excel feel logical, useful, and accessible at every stage.
