About Isla
I hold a B.Sc in Information Systems and an M.Sc in Business Analytics, with 8 years of experience teaching Excel to students from beginners to advanced users. My approach emphasises clarity, practicality, and incremental skill-building, allowing learners to understand not only how to use Excel but also why certain techniques and formulae are effective. I strive to create an engaging learning environment where mistakes become learning opportunities, and curiosity is encouraged. I focus on hands-on instruction, real-world examples, and step-by-step guidance to ensure learners internalise concepts and can apply them confidently. Lessons are tailored to individual goals, whether students seek academic mastery, workplace efficiency, or personal skill development. Each session includes hands-on exercises, real datasets, and problem-solving challenges to solidify understanding and skill. Learning Excel equips students with versatile analytical abilities that extend beyond spreadsheets. They develop attention to detail, logical thinking, and decision-making skills. My goal is to help learners feel confident manipulating data, solving problems efficiently, and applying Excel knowledge in academic, professional, and personal projects.
