About Kai
I am a committed piano tutor with over 12 years of experience helping students from school, college, and professional backgrounds grow as musicians. I believe that learning piano is about more than technical skill—it is about creativity, expression, and enjoyment.
My teaching methodology focuses on patience, clear communication, and personalised instruction. I assess each student’s abilities and goals, then create lessons that strengthen fundamentals such as finger technique, hand coordination, rhythm, and sight-reading. I also incorporate music theory, ear training, and rhythm exercises to develop complete musicianship.
Lessons are creative, engaging, and interactive, often including song practice, improvisation, and performance preparation. I specialise in simplifying complex concepts, motivating students, and helping them develop confidence, consistency, and disciplined practice habits.
My ultimate goal is to provide a positive, supportive, and inspiring environment where students can enjoy learning piano and achieve their full potential.

My teaching philosophy focuses on student-centred learning and motivation. I believe that every student can develop musical skills and confidence when lessons are personalised, engaging, and enjoyable. Through clear communication, I understand each student’s goals, learning preferences, and challenges, allowing me to design lessons that are both practical and inspiring.
Creativity is a key part of my approach. I encourage students to experiment, improvise, and even compose their own music, fostering a sense of artistic freedom and individuality. Flexibility ensures that lessons are tailored to the student’s pace, level, and style of learning, allowing steady progress without pressure.
In addition to piano, I teach related subjects such as music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This comprehensive approach helps students develop both technical skills and musical understanding. My aim is to create a learning experience that builds confidence, skill, and a lifelong love for music in every student.
