About Tom
Hi! I spent almost two years (remotely) architecting, creating, and teaching a programming course at an IT Camp in Cameroon. This gave me the opportunity to experiment and test what works best when teaching coding and computer science remotely to ages from 5 to 17. Through many mistakes and successes, I've been able to fine-tune my teaching strategy to maximise learning while building student confidence. All my teaching content is built upon the knowledge I've acquired either through my BSc and MSc in Computer Science or through self-learning, allowing me to give you the strong fundamental understanding of the subject that's required to learn.

Lessons Offered I offer lessons in Python, Scratch, and Computer Science for students at BSc, A-Level, GCSE, and pre-GCSE levels. What a Lesson Is Like Lessons are all taught remotely, combining direct instruction with practical work. Between lessons, personalised assignments are given based on the student's skill level and interests. Lesson content is designed to balance long-term structured learning with the student's individual needs, interests, and current skill level. Lesson Length Typically, lessons are one hour, but I'm flexible to accommodate your schedule. Price My rate is £20 per hour, but this is negotiable. Out of Hours Support You're welcome to contact me outside of lesson times, free of charge, for help with studies, general questions, or enquiries.
