About Lily
I am a Math tutor with over 5 years of experience and an MPhil in Mathematics, passionate about helping students build confidence and overcome math anxiety. I take a holistic approach, focusing not just on solving problems, but on nurturing a positive relationship with mathematics. I work with learners of all ages, using growth mindset techniques to encourage persistence and resilience. Lessons are tailored to each student’s pace and learning style, ensuring concepts are fully understood before moving forward. My teaching approach in Maths focuses on making learning engaging, practical, and enjoyable. I emphasize understanding concepts deeply while encouraging playful exploration through logic puzzles, game theory, and recreational mathematics. Lessons are personalized to suit each student’s pace and learning style. I create a nurturing environment where curiosity is celebrated and questions are welcomed. Complex topics are broken down into clear, simple steps, making them easier to grasp and apply.
I support students in building confidence, mastering challenging problems, and developing critical thinking skills.
