About Jose
I am currently a senior at Florida International University in a pathway to a bachelors in Computer Engineering. I have been tutoring a variety of mathematics subjects in college for over two years now and I love it. I have also struggled learning the material as much as my classmates. However, once I have a grasp on the concepts, I love helping them understand the material so we can all do well in the class. I knew that tutoring helped make a difference on students academic achievement and so that is the reason why I decided to become a math tutor. I know math can be a nerve wrecking subject but I will put maximum effort to help the students understand the subject. Many times private tutoring helps clarify most of the confusions about the material.

My teaching methodology is to work with the problems and communicate with the student as we progress. However, if the student is getting more confused I will change the presentation of the material. I will try a different approach of presenting the material until I see the student is becoming more engaged due to the different styles of teaching. If a student prefers one way over another I will continue explaining it to them the way they best understand.
