About Grace
I am a Physics tutor with over 4 years of experience and an MSc in Astrophysics. My passion extends beyond equations and problem sets—I am deeply fascinated by the history of physics and the groundbreaking experiments that shaped human knowledge. I believe that understanding how discoveries were made brings a richer perspective to learning physics. In my lessons, I often revisit Galileo’s bold experiments that challenged accepted views of motion. I highlight how Newton’s laws provided a universal framework that still guides modern science. Students also explore the elegance of Maxwell’s equations, which united electricity, magnetism, and light into one theory. The journey does not stop there. I dive into the quantum revolution, where discoveries redefined our understanding of matter and energy. My teaching approach in Physics is designed to help students build both deep understanding and practical exam skills. I work with school and university students, as well as those preparing for advanced tests like AP Physics. The focus is always on mastering the concepts first and then applying them effectively under exam conditions. I guide students through detailed concept reviews, ensuring they understand the principles behind mechanics, electricity, magnetism, waves, and modern physics. Once the basics are clear, we move into structured problem-solving techniques that sharpen analytical thinking. I also emphasise time management, which is critical for success in competitive exams. My methodology involves targeted drills, timed practice sessions, and full-length mock tests. These activities are carefully chosen to mirror real exam challenges. By identifying common pitfalls, I help students avoid mistakes that often cost valuable marks. Strategies are customised for each student, so they can improve steadily and confidently. As both a mathematician at heart and a sci-fi enthusiast, I bring energy and creativity into my lessons. Real-world examples, thought experiments, and scientific imagination make sessions engaging and memorable. Students not only prepare for exams but also learn to appreciate Physics as a way of understanding the universe. Every lesson is planned to reduce stress and boost performance.
