Hi, I’m Abbey! With 10 years of experience teaching in the classroom, I am passionate about helping students succeed and reach their full potential. I hold a Master's degree as a K-12 Intervention Specialist and am trained in the Science of Reading and Dyslexia. Here’s an overview of my teaching method, typical lesson plan, what sets me apart, and who my lessons are designed for: Teaching Method and Techniques 1. Personalized Learning: I adapt my teaching style to meet the unique needs of each learner, whether they need visual aids, more examples, or step-by-step explanations. I aim to help learners discover solutions independently, encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving. 2. Active Engagement: I believe that the best way to learn is through active participation. I use techniques like questioning, discussions, real-life examples, and interactive exercises to keep the learner engaged. 3. Scaffolded Learning: I break down complex topics into smaller, manageable chunks, gradually building up to more advanced concepts.
