About David
I have a degree in Mathematics with Statistics.
I have 12 years’ experience as a full-time classroom Maths teacher at secondary school and have consistently succeeded in helping students obtain and exceed their target grades at GCSE.
The work I have done as a private tutor since 2006 has enabled students to make rapid and sustained progress in a subject area where they were initially struggling.
I have a proven track record for improving students’ confidence and attainment in Maths.

I have a proven track record for improving students’ confidence and attainment in Maths.
I have access to all the teaching resources I have used and created in 12 years of classroom teaching. This enables me to immediate provide students with appropriate and challenging tasks in the areas of the subject where they most require support.
I have an in-depth and up to date knowledge of the curriculum and can therefore facilitate learning that is relevant to the GCSE examinations.
One to one tuition allows the lesson to progress at a pace which is ideally suited to the student in an environment where students can feel always comfortable in asking questions.
I set homework that gives the student the opportunity to obtain further practice and demonstrate their understanding when working independently which forms the basis for subsequent lessons.
