About Doris

Teaching is my passion, I love to see people grow as a result of the knowledge I impact. Teaching helps me to contribute to capacity building, to give a voice to the voiceless, there is no better way than to teach and nurture. Therefore, I chose to teach English to help young and old to be able to freely express and interact with people anywhere in the world. Remember, English language is the key, with it, you write and understand other subjects. So, come on let's do it together!

About the lesson

I am an experienced and versatile tutor with 6.5 band score in IELTS. I hold a Masters in business administration, postgraduate diploma certificate in education and I am a chartered human resource professional. I help people with tips to pass IELTS exams. I give home and online English lessons to adults, teenagers, junior and secondary school students, from scratch, and assist those who like to improve their English skills: reading, listening, writing and speaking. With 9 years background as a human resources professional, I understand the unique nature of humans, so I use emotional intelligence to teach and make my learners feel at home while learning. My class or one on one lessons are usually warm, interactive and everyone is carried along. I also mentor and provide social care for vulnerable students. My lesson period ranges from 1 to 2 hours depending on the ages involved.
