About Farwa

I am a passionate and dedicated Quran and Islamic Studies teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience. I have completed a 6-year comprehensive Ilm (Islamic scholarship) course and hold a Master’s degree in Islamic Studies, which has given me deep knowledge of the Quran, Tajweed, Tafseer, Hadith, and core Islamic teachings.

Over the years, I have taught Quran recitation with Tajweed, Quran Translation, Tafseer, and Arabic language to children, beginners, and adults from different backgrounds and learning levels. Teaching the Quran and Arabic started as knowledge, but gradually became my true passion and life’s mission — to help others read the Quran beautifully, understand its meaning deeply, and connect with it spiritually.

My teaching style is patient, friendly, and personalised, focusing on correct pronunciation (Makharij), fluency, understanding, and confidence. Whether you are a complete beginner, want to improve Tajweed, learn Quran with translation, study Tafseer, or learn Arabic for Quran understanding, I am here to guide you step-by-step in a supportive and motivating environment.

I strongly believe learning the Quran should be easy, engaging, and spiritually uplifting. Seeing my students progress — from basic letters to confident recitation and understanding — is the greatest reward for me. Teaching is not just my profession, it is my service, passion, and commitment to spreading the light of Quranic knowledge.

About the lesson

Assalamu Alaikum,

I am a passionate and highly experienced Quran teacher with more than 10 years of teaching experience in Quran recitation, Tajweed, Translation, and Tafseer. I have taught students of all ages, including young children, teenagers, and adults, helping them improve their recitation, pronunciation, understanding, and spiritual connection with the Quran.

I run my own home-based Quran teaching practice and also have valuable experience teaching in a Madrassa, where I worked with students from different backgrounds and learning levels. My teaching approach is patient, structured, and personalised, ensuring every student learns comfortably at their own pace.

1) When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?
I developed a strong interest in Islamic studies and Quran teaching during my studies as an Alima. Over time, I realized my passion for helping others understand the Quran, which naturally led me to private tutoring.
2) Tell us more about the subject you teach...
I teach Quran with proper Tajweed, basic Islamic teachings, and understanding of verses. I especially enjoy helping students improve their recitation in a simple and clear way. I focus more on practical learning and avoid making lessons difficult or overwhelming.
3) Did you have any role models?
Yes, I have been inspired by my teachers during my Alima studies. Their patience, dedication, and teaching style motivated me to become a tutor and guide others in the same way.
4) What qualities are required to be a good tutor?
A good tutor should be patient, understanding, and able to explain concepts in a simple way. Consistency, good communication, and adapting to each student’s level are also very important.
5) Provide a valuable anecdote...
One of my students initially struggled with basic recitation, but with consistent practice and simple guidance, they improved significantly. Seeing their confidence grow was very rewarding and reminded me why I love teaching.
6) What difficulties or challenges have you faced?
Sometimes students find it difficult to stay consistent or grasp Tajweed rules quickly, but I handle this by adjusting my teaching method and keeping lessons easy and engaging.
7) Do you have a particular passion?
My main passion is teaching the Quran in a simple and understandable way. I enjoy helping students build a strong connection with the Quran.
