About Mark
I am passionate about teaching, learning language and meeting people from other cultures. This is reflected in my undergraduate studies - Writing and Cultural Studies, as well as my current studies in a Masters of Applied Linguistics. I have a many years of experience and knowledge that are benefits to teaching. Learning a language can be hard work, but I also believe it is one of the most fulfilling things you can do.

I believe that there are two very important factors in learning a language. Firstly good instruction in vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation, and secondly using what you have learned in spontaneous conversation. I have several years experience teaching English to adults in China and online and have almost completed a Masters of Applied Linguistics majoring in TESOL. I am also a keen student of Mandarin. Lessons usually last one hour but can be suited to individual requirements.
