Duration: 1 hour per session
Objectives:
1. To introduce Bengali language and its basic phonetics.
2. To develop vocabulary and conversational skills.
3. To teach grammar concepts and sentence structures.
4. To enhance reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.
5. To expose learners to Bengali culture and traditions.
Materials:
1. Whiteboard, markers, and eraser (for face-to-face classes)
2. Computer, internet connection, and video conferencing software (for online classes)
3. Handouts, worksheets, or online resources for practice
4. Audio recordings or videos for listening exercises
5. Authentic Bengali texts, songs, or videos for cultural exposure
Lesson Plan:
Session 1: Introduction to Bengali Language and Phonetics
- Greet the students and introduce yourself as their Bengali tutor.
- Discuss the importance of learning Bengali and its relevance in today's world.
- Teach the Bengali alphabet and basic phonetics using flashcards or visual aids.
- Practice pronunciation of individual letters and common sounds.
- Provide examples of basic words and phrases for students to practice pronunciation.
Session 2: Vocabulary Building and Conversational Skills
