About Amanda
I started teaching IB MYP humanities subjects and English and IB DP philosophy, history, TOK, English B, and general lab report or design report writing since 2020. I started teaching TOEFL reading, writing, speaking, and listening since 2021. On average, my IB students improve from achieving level 5-6 to level 7 (or 7-8 for MYP) regardless of backgrounds and competency. My students for TOEFL on average improve 2-3 points after 4-5 tutoring sessions.

For IB: My approach to teaching writing is always theory and practice combined. I will deconstruct the grading criteria and teach students the most efficient writing style for IB.
I teach:
- IB MYP: Individuals & Societies (history, geography), science lab report writing, design subjects report writing.
- IB DP: English B, Chinese B, Chinese A, Philosophy, Theory of Knowledge, Economics.
- IGCSE: Economics, History
For TOEFL: I will help your English while preparing you for the exam! This means, I do customised study plan for each student. I don't want you to just get a perfect TOEFL score. I want you to get the perfect TOEFL score you need for your dream college but also walk away with fluent English and a competent writer ready for university.
For English students: Tell me your goals and I will provide you customised study plan. Currently, I am helping several year 6-8 Chinese students to transition to English-speaking schools.
