About Rivah

Hello, I’m Rivah Salva Piamonte, but you can call me Teacher Pia, a licensed Elementary Education graduate with strong experience in teaching English to learners of different ages and levels. I have been working as an ESL teacher for several years, handling students from as young as 3 years old up to 12 years old, and I genuinely enjoy helping learners grow in confidence and communication skills.

My teaching approach is structured, patient, and student-centered. I always make sure that each lesson is clear, engaging, and adapted to the learner’s needs. I focus on building strong foundations in grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and speaking skills while encouraging students to express themselves naturally and confidently.

Over the years, I have developed a calm and supportive teaching style that helps students feel comfortable even when making mistakes, because I believe that learning happens best in a positive and encouraging environment. I am committed to professionalism, consistency, and delivering meaningful lessons that help students improve step by step.

About the lesson

My name is Pia, a dedicated ESL teacher with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education (BEEd) and over 2 years of experience teaching English online to children aged 3 to 12 years old. My teaching approach is student-centered, interactive, and engaging, focusing on making English learning fun, natural, and easy to understand. I use techniques such as visuals, storytelling, Total Physical Response (TPR), games, repetition, and guided speaking activities to help students build confidence and improve their communication skills step by step. A typical lesson begins with a warm-up activity to encourage speaking, followed by vocabulary introduction, practice exercises, and sentence building, then speaking activities where students apply what they learned in real conversation, and finally a short review with positive feedback to reinforce learning. What sets me apart as a tutor is my patience, creativity, and ability to connect with young learners, making each lesson enjoyable, supportive, and stress-free while adapting to each student’s pace and interests. My lessons are designed for beginner to intermediate ESL learners, especially children aged 3 to 12 years old, focusing on vocabulary development, pronunciation, basic grammar, and conversational English skills, while also supporting shy or struggling learners who need encouragement and confidence-building in speaking English.
