Hello, I'm Katarina, a passionate tutor with a strong background in Chemistry. I graduated with distinction from the University of Colorado Boulder with a double major in Biochemistry and Integrative Physiology, along with a certificate in public health. In teaching Chemistry, I firmly believe in starting with the basics. Just like building a sturdy house requires a strong foundation, understanding the fundamental concepts is key to grasping more complex ideas. I strive to simplify complex topics by breaking them down into easily digestible analogies and examples. Hands-on practice is crucial in solidifying understanding, so I provide students with plenty of practice problems once the basics are understood. My approach involves guiding students through the initial steps and gradually allowing them to work independently as they gain confidence. By fostering a supportive learning environment and emphasizing the importance of mastering the basics, I aim to help students experience those rewarding 'clicking moments' where everything falls into place.
