About Mahitha

I am a college student with a strong background in biology, chemistry, and mathematics, as well as experience teaching and mentoring students. I have worked as a Supplemental Instructor for biology, where I helped students understand challenging concepts, prepare for exams, and develop stronger study strategies. My experience teaching has taught me that every student learns differently, so I am patient and always willing to explain a concept in multiple ways until it makes sense.

I strive to create a comfortable and encouraging learning environment where students feel confident asking questions. I am reliable, organized, and committed to helping each student make meaningful progress. Whether a student wants to improve their grades, prepare for an upcoming test, or build a stronger foundation in math or science, I will work with them to reach their goals.

About the lesson

My approach as a tutor is to make difficult concepts easier to understand by breaking them down into simple steps and adapting my teaching style to each student. I use clear explanations, real-world examples, visuals, and practice questions to help students understand the material rather than simply memorize it.

A typical lesson begins with reviewing what the student already knows and identifying any areas they are struggling with. I then explain the main concepts, work through examples with them, and allow them to practice independently while I provide guidance. I also use practice questions and quick reviews to make sure they understand the material before moving on.

What sets me apart is my experience teaching biology and chemistry and my ability to explain challenging science and math concepts in a simple and approachable way. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes because that is an important part of learning.

My lessons are designed for middle and high school students who need help with math, biology, or chemistry, whether they are struggling with a class, preparing for an exam, or simply want to strengthen their understanding of the subject.
